Emily was first diagnosed with ALL Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in March 2012 aged 2. She received extensive treatment including 9 sessions of radiotherapy to her head and body. Over the 5 years Emily made countless 5 hour round trips to the RVI in Newcastle.
In February 2015 Emily relapsed for the 3rd time and the leukaemia had entered her central nervous system and nothing more could be done. Emily was given 8 weeks to live. Emily kept on fighting for 2 more years and in September 2017 was chosen for the TCell trials to commence in January 2018. These trials could predominantly have saved her life.
Sadly on Friday 10 November 2017 Emily lost her battle after suffering 3 cardiac arrests during a routine procedure in readiness for the trials to begin. X
